Alan Wheat is a Missouri Representative born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1951. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and Seville, Spain, and graduated from Airline High School in 1968. After earning a B.A. from Grinnell College, he worked as an economist and legislative aide before serving in the Missouri general assembly and later representing his state in Congress from 1983 to 1995.
