Alma S. Adams

Alma S. Adams is a Representative from North Carolina, born in High Point in 1946. She graduated from West Side High School in Newark, N.J., and earned multiple degrees from North Carolina A&T State University and Ohio State University. Adams was an artist and college faculty member at Bennett College for four decades before serving on local and state government boards, eventually being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014.
