Ashley Hinson is a U.S. Representative from Iowa, born in Des Moines in 1983. She graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines and earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California. Before entering Congress, Hinson worked as a journalist and served in the Iowa state house of representatives from 2017 to 2020. She was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves in Congress.
