Bob Casey was a Texas Representative born in Joplin, Missouri, in 1915. After graduating from San Jacinto High School, he studied law and began practicing in Alvin, Texas. Casey served as city attorney, assistant district attorney, and county judge of Harris County before being elected to Congress, where he served from 1959 until 1976 when he became a Federal Maritime Commission Commissioner.
