Cathy McMorris Rodgers is a Representative from Washington, born in Salem, Oregon, in 1969. She graduated from Columbia River Christian Academy and earned degrees from Pensacola Christian College and the University of Washington. Before Congress, she worked in her family's orchard business and served in the Washington state house of representatives. She has been a member of Congress since 2005 and has held leadership positions, including chair of the House Republican Conference and Committee on Energy and Commerce.
