Christopher H. Smith is a Representative from New Jersey, born in Rahway in 1953. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1971 and earned a B.S. from Trenton State College in 1975, also studying briefly in England. A businessman and nonprofit executive, he was elected to Congress in 1981 and has served continuously since then, including as chair of the Committee on Veterans Affairs.
