Darrell E. Issa is a Representative from California, originally born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1953. He graduated from Siena Heights College and served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1980. After working as a business owner, he was elected to Congress in 2001 and served until 2019, including a stint as chair of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. After a brief absence, he returned to Congress in 2021.
