Derek Kilmer is a U.S. Representative from Washington state, born in Port Angeles in 1974. He graduated from Princeton University in 1996 and earned a D.Phil. from Oxford in 2003. Before serving in Congress since 2013, Kilmer was a businessman and served in the Washington state legislature from 2005 to 2012. He currently chairs the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress.
