Emanuel Cleaver is a U.S. Representative from Missouri who was born in Texas in 1944. After graduating from Prairie View A&M University and earning a Master of Divinity, he served as a pastor and radio show host. Cleaver was a Kansas City councilmember and mayor before being elected to Congress in 2005, where he has continued to serve since.
