Erin Houchin is a Representative from Indiana, born in Scottsburg in 1976. She graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School and earned degrees from Indiana University and George Washington University. Before entering Congress, she worked as a social worker and business owner, served on Senator Dan Coats' staff, and was a member of the Indiana state senate from 2015 to 2022. She was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022.
