A graduate of Moses Brown School and Wheaton College, he became a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University. Amo has worked on presidential campaigns, served in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and was a staff member for Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo. He was elected to Congress in a special election in November 2023.
