Gus M. Bilirakis is a U.S. Representative from Florida, born in Gainesville in 1963. He graduated from Tarpon Springs High School and earned degrees from St. Petersburg Junior College, the University of Florida, and Stetson University College of Law. Before entering Congress in 2007, Bilirakis worked as a lawyer, professor, and served in the Florida state house of representatives from 1998 to 2006.
