Jake Ellzey is a U.S. Representative from Texas, born in Potter County in 1970. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he served in the Navy from 1992 to 2012. After his military service, he became a business executive and commercial pilot. Ellzey served on the Texas veterans commission and in the state house of representatives before being elected to Congress in a special election in 2021.
