James R. Baird

James R. Baird is a U.S. Representative from Indiana, born in Fountain County in 1945. He earned degrees from Purdue University and the University of Kentucky, served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972, and worked as a farmer and small business owner. Baird previously served as a county commissioner and state legislator before being elected to Congress in 2019, where he currently serves.
