Jason Smith is a U.S. Representative from Missouri, born in St. Louis in 1980. He graduated from Salem High School and earned degrees from the University of Missouri and Oklahoma City University School of Law. Smith worked as a farmer and lawyer before serving in the Missouri state house of representatives from 2005 to 2013. He was elected to Congress in 2013 and currently chairs the Committee on Ways and Means and the Joint Committee on Taxation.
