Jay Obernolte is a U.S. Representative from California, born in Chicago in 1970. He graduated from Edison High School in Fresno and earned degrees from Caltech, UCLA, and California Baptist University. An entrepreneur and pilot, Obernolte served on the Big Bear airport board, city council, and as mayor before becoming a state assemblymember and eventually a congressman in 2021.
