Judy Chu is a Representative from California who was born in Los Angeles in 1953. She earned degrees from UCLA and the California School of Professional Psychology, and worked as a professor at Los Angeles City College and East Los Angeles College. Chu served on local school and city councils before becoming a state assembly member and board of equalization member. She was elected to Congress in 2009 to fill a vacancy and has been reelected multiple times.
