Kathy Castor is a Representative from Florida, born in Miami in 1966. She graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa and earned degrees from Emory University and Florida State University. After working as a lawyer and serving on the Hillsborough County board of commissioners, she was elected to Congress in 2007. She currently chairs the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.
