Melanie A. Stansbury

Melanie Ann Stansbury is a U.S. Representative from New Mexico, born in Farmington in 1979. She graduated from Cibola High School and earned degrees from Saint Mary's College and Cornell University. Before her congressional service, she worked at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, the White House Office of Management and Budget, and the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She was a state representative before being elected to Congress in a special election in 2021.
