Mike Thompson is a U.S. Representative from California, born in St. Helena in 1951. He graduated from St. Helena High School and earned degrees from California State University, Chico. Thompson served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 and later worked as a state assembly fellow. He was a California state senator before being elected to Congress in 1999, where he continues to serve.
