Nancy Pelosi is a Representative from California, born in Baltimore in 1940. She graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame and Trinity College, and served in leadership roles within political organizations. First elected to Congress in 1987 through a special election, she has since held prominent positions including minority leader and Speaker of the House multiple times, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2024.
