Patrick T. McHenry is a Representative from North Carolina, born in Charlotte in 1975. He graduated from Ashbrook High School and earned a B.A. from Belmont Abbey College. Before his congressional career, he worked as a realtor and served as a special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Labor. He was a member of the North Carolina state house of representatives and has been serving in Congress since 2005, currently chairing the Committee on Financial Services.
