Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is a Representative from Florida, born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1979. She graduated from Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory and Howard University, later earning a law degree from St. Thomas University. A health care executive, she was elected to Congress in a special election in January 2022 to fill a vacancy and was subsequently reelected.
