Steve Cohen is a Representative from Tennessee, born in Memphis in 1949. After graduating from Vanderbilt University and earning a law degree from the University of Memphis, he worked as an attorney and served in the Tennessee state senate from 1982 to 2006. Cohen was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006 and has been serving since then.
