Tom McClintock is a Representative from California, born in Bronxville, New York, in 1956. He graduated from UCLA in 1978 and worked as a journalist and public policy analyst. McClintock served in the California state assembly from 1982-1992 and 1996-2000, and in the state senate from 2000-2008. After unsuccessful gubernatorial and congressional bids, he was elected to Congress in 2009 and continues to serve.
