Amy Klobuchar

Amy Klobuchar is a U.S. Senator from Minnesota, born in Plymouth in 1960. She graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 1982 and earned her law degree from the University of Chicago in 1985. After practicing law and becoming a partner at prominent firms, she served as Hennepin County attorney from 1999 to 2006. Klobuchar was elected to the Senate in 2006 and has since been reelected twice, currently serving until 2025. She chairs the Senate Rules and Administration Committee and ran for president in 2020.
