Angus S. King, Jr. is a U.S. Senator from Maine, born in Virginia in 1944. A Dartmouth College and University of Virginia School of Law graduate, he worked as a lawyer and television program host before becoming governor of Maine from 1995 to 2003. King was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012 and reelected in 2018, serving until 2025.
