Catherine Cortez Masto is a U.S. Senator from Nevada, born in Las Vegas in 1964. She earned degrees from the University of Nevada and Gonzaga University School of Law. After working as a federal prosecutor and Nevada's attorney general, she was elected to the Senate in 2016 and reelected in 2022, serving until January 3, 2029. She also chaired the Senate campaign committee from 2019 to 2021.
