Christopher Murphy is a U.S. Senator and former Representative from Connecticut. Born in White Plains, New York, in 1973, he graduated from Williams College and earned a law degree from the University of Connecticut. Murphy served on local commissions and in the state legislature before being elected to Congress in 2007 and later to the Senate in 2012.
