Edward J. Markey

Edward J. Markey is a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, born in Malden in 1946. A graduate of Boston College and its law school, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve and the state legislature before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1976. He became a senator in 2013, filling John Kerry's seat, and was reelected in 2014 and 2020.
