Elizabeth Warren is a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, born in Oklahoma City in 1949. She worked as an elementary school teacher, lawyer, and law professor before becoming a bankruptcy expert. Warren chaired the Congressional Oversight Panel for TARP and served as a special assistant to President Barack Obama in establishing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She was elected to the Senate in 2012 and reelected in 2018, and sought the presidential nomination in 2020.
