Jeanne Shaheen is a U.S. Senator from New Hampshire, born in Missouri in 1947. She earned degrees from Shippensburg State College and the University of Mississippi, served as a state senator from 1990 to 1996, and was governor of New Hampshire from 1997 to 2003. After an unsuccessful Senate bid in 2002, she was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008 and reelected in 2014 and 2020, currently serving until 2027.
