John Boozman is a U.S. Senator from Arkansas, born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1950. After graduating from Northside High School in Fort Smith and attending the University of Arkansas, he became an optometrist and successful business owner. He served on the Rogers school board before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in a special election, representing Arkansas from 2001 to 2011. He was subsequently elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 and has been reelected twice.
