Margaret Wood Hassan is a U.S. Senator from New Hampshire, born in Boston in 1958. She graduated from Brown University and Northeastern University School of Law. Before entering the Senate, she served in the New Hampshire state senate and as governor from 2013 to 2016. She was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016 and reelected in 2022 for a term ending in 2029.
