Marsha Blackburn is a U.S. Senator from Tennessee, born in Laurel, Mississippi, in 1952. After graduating from Northeast Jones High School and Mississippi State University, she became a business owner and private advocate. She served in the Tennessee state senate from 1998 to 2002 and was a U.S. Representative from 2003 to 2019 before being elected to the Senate in 2018.
