Roger F. Wicker

Roger F. Wicker is a U.S. Senator from Mississippi, born in Pontotoc in 1951. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with both bachelor's and law degrees, served in the Air Force, and worked as a public defender. After serving in the state senate and U.S. House of Representatives, he was appointed to the Senate in 2007 and subsequently elected to multiple terms, chairing the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
