Ron Johnson is a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, born in Mankato, Minnesota, on April 8, 1955. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1977 with a B.S. degree and later studied business administration. Before entering politics, Johnson worked as a plastics manufacturer and accountant. He was first elected to the Senate in 2010 and has been reelected twice, currently serving a term that ends in 2029. During his Senate tenure, he chaired the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
