Sherrod Brown is a U.S. Senator from Ohio, born in Mansfield in 1952. He earned degrees from Yale and Ohio State University and served in the Ohio State House of Representatives and as Ohio Secretary of State. Brown was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2007 before being elected to the Senate in 2006, where he currently serves and chairs the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
