Steve Daines is a U.S. Senator from Montana, born in Van Nuys, California, in 1962. A graduate of Bozeman High School and Montana State University, he worked as a businessman before entering politics. Daines served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2015 and was elected to the Senate in 2014, subsequently reelected in 2020. He currently chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
