Tammy Baldwin is a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, born in Madison in 1962. She graduated from Madison West High School and Smith College, then earned a law degree from the University of Wisconsin. Baldwin served on the Dane County board of supervisors, in the state assembly, and represented Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999 to 2013 before being elected to the Senate in 2012.
