Tina Smith is a U.S. Senator from Minnesota, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1958. She graduated from Stanford University and earned an M.B.A. from Dartmouth College. Before entering politics, she worked as a marketing consultant and executive, serving as chief of staff to Minneapolis's mayor and Minnesota's governor. She became a senator in 2018, filling a vacancy, and was subsequently elected to the position.
